Twenty-three workers of the Rasuwagadhi Hydroelectric Project have been rescued.
The Nepal Army's Directorate of Public Relations and Information stated that 23 individuals were airlifted to safety by helicopter.
The workers were stranded at the project site in Gosaikunda Rural Municipality-2.
The Nepal Army conducted the rescue operation in collaboration with the police, armed police, and locals.
The Nepal Army has initiated search operations for missing persons, deploying teams from the No. 6 Brigade in Dhading toward Trishuli via Galchhi and from the Shreenath Battalion in Rasuwa toward the Syafrubesi area, where people have lost contact due to the flood.
Currently, 18 people remain missing, including three police officers, six Chinese citizens, and the rest Nepali citizens.
Search efforts for them are ongoing.
On Tuesday morning, a flood in the Lende River destroyed the Miteri Bridge at the Rasuwagadhi border, severing contact with China.
The customs dry port and the hydropower project have also been damaged.
