Tribhuvan University has said that legal action has been initiated against those involved in vandalizing the secretariat of Vice-chancellor Khadka KC.
Issuing a statement, the Information and Public Relation Division under the Office of the Registrar, Tribhuvan University, said that legal proceedings have been initiated against those who vandalized the vice-chancellor's secretariat and attempted to threaten and assault officials.
On May 28, a group of 20-25 individuals vandalized the vice-chancellor's secretariat. Those involved in the vandalism were students affiliated to the Nepal Students' Union (NSU), the student wing of the Nepali Congress. They vandalized the vice-chancellor’s secretariat demanding the reopening of admissions for undergraduate programs.
The university is preparing to recover the cost of the damage caused to physical property from those involved in the vandalism.
