Bus accident in Saptari leaves 3 dead

Three people have died in a bus accident in Saptari district.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Jitendra Kumar Basnet at the District Police Office, Saptari, three people were killed when a bus met with an accident on the East-West Highway in Badgama, Kanchanrup Municipality-10, on Sunday afternoon.

According to him, the bus (registration number Pra 1-01-001 Kha 3420) met with the accident after losing control.

Among the deceased, one man and one woman have not been identified yet. The third victim has been identified as 75-year-old Rakta Bahadur Magarati from Saptakoshi Municipality-1.

The bodies have been sent to Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital in Rajbiraj, Saptari.

Twenty-two others were injured in the accident.

Police are questioning the driver after taking him into custody.
