The National Examination Board (NEB) has decided not to postpone the Grade 12 examinations.
An NEB member said that a meeting held on Tuesday decided to request schools designated as examination centers to conduct the exams through the Examination Coordination Committee.
The Grade 12 examinations are set to begin on Thursday (April 24).
However, as the ongoing teachers' protests threatened to disrupt the examinations, the NEB called a meeting on Tuesday to make a decision on the matter.
The agitating teachers, who have been pressuring the government to enact the School Education Act incorporating previous agreements, had decided not to be involved in the Grade 12 examinations.
