One of the two Nepal Army (NA) persons infected with COVID-19 is a doctor with the Mid-Eastern Division headquarter in Mahottari.
Chief District Officer (CDO) of Mahottari Surya Bahadur Khatri said the army doctor had gone to different districts to collect swab in recent times. The other infected person is also a senior officer who usually used to accompany the doctor on such trips.
"We have received information that they had visited different quarantine facilities in Birgunj, Janakpur and other places in Province 2," CDO Khatri told Setopati. "It has yet to be known where they were infected. We are carrying out contact-tracing."
Both the infected officers have been sent to Kathmandu for treatment by road on Saturday. He revealed they are currently being treated in the APF Hospital.
The division headquarter in Mahottari has been sealed after infection in two officers.
