Two persons who had returned from India have tested positive for COVID-19 in Rautaht.
A 24-year-old man from Brindaban municipality 9 and a 35-year-old man from Devahi Gonahi municipality 1 have found to have been infected by the National Public Health Laboratory in Kathmandu.
The man from Brindaban, who was sent home from the quarantine at Chandrapur municipality 6 on April 18 after testing negative following a PCR test in Janakpur, had returned from Kolkata on April 4, according to Mayor of Brindaban Ram Snehi Raya Yadav.
The man from Devahi Gonahi had returned from Delhi on April 16 and is still in quarantine, according to Mayor Dharmendra Prasad Patel.
Health of both the men is normal and discussions are on to send them to the Narayani Hospital in Birgunj.
The total number of infected persons in Nepal has now reached 54 with 16 of them returning home after recovery.
