295 kg hashish seized from NOC oil tanker

The team of Narcotic Control Bureau (NCB) on Tuesday morning has found 295 kg hashish from a petro tanker of Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) in Makawanpur. Acting on tip-off, the team of NCB confiscated hashish from the tanker (Na 4 Kha 3939) during security check , SSP at Bureau Bishwa Raj Pokharel informed. "We received information about a tanker being used to smuggle hashish," SSP Pokharel said, "We're shocked to see hashish being smuggled in an oil tanker. We will discuss this matter with concerned stakeholders," Pokharel said. Investigation has been launched by arresting tanker driver Prahlad Thakuri, 38, of Parsa, he added. Earlier, the NCB team had recovered hashish from oil tanker (Na 4 Kha 4368) at Jhyape khola of Chandragiri municipality-2. Two people were arrested along with 160 kg hashish.
