Construction of Damak-Rabi road section completed

Construction of the 41-km Damak-Rabi Chisapani road (Phalgunanda Marga) which started two decades ago has been completed. The newly constructed road will save travel time of local people to reach Rabi, and benefit them in various other ways. For instance, a resident of Damak had to travel 178-km to reach Rabi in Panchthar through Ilam, and Ranke. Likewise, perennial obstructions of the road during monsoon are also expected to end with the new road set to operate shortly. Vehicles will be allowed on the newly constructed road from January 21, said the construction consumers committee.
