Manish Mishra enters race for Nepali Congress joint general secretary

Nepali Congress central member Manish Mishra has announced his candidacy for the post of joint general secretary.

Mishra said that he will contest for the joint general secretary position from the Madheshi cluster. He is a leader active in Madhesh politics.

A resident of Sarlahi, Mishra joined the Nepali Congress shortly before the election held on March 5. Before joining the Nepali Congress, he was the general secretary of the then Loktantrik Samajwadi Party (LSP).

Mishra joined the Nepali Congress after the LSP and the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal decided to merge. After joining the Nepali Congress, he was appointed as a central member.
