Govinda Bhattarai to contest for Nepali Congress vice-president

Nepali Congress central member Govinda Bhattarai is set to contest for the post of vice-president.

The Nepali Congress’s 15th general convention is scheduled to take place from Sunday to Thursday (October 8).

Bhattarai told Setopati that he will contest for the vice-president post at the general convention.

“I have announced my candidacy for the post of vice-president,” he said.

Bhattarai is a former president of the Nepal Students’ Union (NSU), the student wing of the Nepali Congress.

Several former leaders of the NSU are now serving in leadership positions within the Nepali Congress.
