Nepali Congress leader Deepak Giri has announced his candidacy for the post of party vice-president.
Giri said that he will contest for the vice-president position at the party’s 15th general convention.
Giri, a central member, was elected to the central general convention from Dang Constituency No. 3 and was subsequently elected unanimously as a Mahasamiti member.
Former minister Giri said that he wants to give the party new momentum by combining the guidance of experienced leaders with the energy and participation of the younger generation.
He also expressed his desire to play a responsible role in the Nepali Congress’s future journey by strengthening the organization through cooperation between experienced leaders and young members.
“Throughout my long political journey, I have continuously participated in every challenge, movement, and organizational campaign of the Nepali Congress,” he said. “Drawing on my contributions, struggles, and long experience as a dedicated party worker in various fields, I announce my candidacy today for the post of vice-president of the Nepali Congress, with a commitment to make the party’s organization stronger, united, and people-oriented.”
