On the occasion of the Nepali Congress’s 15th general convention, the Nepal Students’ Union (NSU) has organized a social media-focused creative video competition titled “General Convention Content Competition.”
The competition aims to promote the party’s history, the ongoing general convention, and contemporary political issues. According to the NSU, 15 creators producing the best videos will receive cash prizes totaling Rs 220,000.
Individuals interested in participating must create an original and creative video covering the Nepali Congress’s history, the general convention, or contemporary issues, and post it on digital platforms including Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram.
According to the NSU, 15 winners will be selected from among the contestants.
The first prize is Rs 50,000, the second prize Rs 30,000, and the third prize Rs 20,000. In addition, 12 creators will receive consolation prizes of Rs 10,000 each.
Participants may create videos individually, in groups, or with family members, using dance, lip-syncing, acting, storytelling, or any other creative format.
The NSU said that the winners will be chosen based on the quality of the video’s content, creativity, presentation style, and the number of likes, comments, and shares received on social media. NSU President Karuna Katuwal said that artificially boosted videos will not be included in the competition.
To participate, contestants posting videos on TikTok, Facebook, or Instagram Reels must follow and mention the Nepali Congress’s official social media account and use the designated hashtags.
Katuwal expressed confidence that the creative competition would help connect the general convention with the digital generation and young people and make the event more engaging.
The Nepali Congress’s 15th general convention is scheduled to take place at Khula Manch in Kathmandu from October 4 to 8.
