The faction led by outgoing Nepali Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba has appointed district coordinators to organize the 15th general convention.
The 15th general convention preparation committee, coordinated by former general secretary Shashank Koirala, has appointed district coordinators to organize parallel conventions.
The Deuba faction is preparing to hold ward-level conventions on October 1, followed by conventions at various levels, and then hold the 15th general convention from December 7 to 9.
According to Deepak Prasad Kuikel, coordinator of the secretariat coordination committee of the 15th general convention preparation committee, the process of appointing district coordinators is underway.
“Coordinators have been appointed in almost all districts. We will formally make the names public within the next day or two,” he told Setopati.
Committee coordinator and former general secretary Koirala has been issuing letters appointing the district coordinators.
