Minister for Industry, Commerce, and Supplies Gauri Kumari Yadav has resigned from her post.
Minister Yadav submitted her resignation on Thursday.
Surendra Bajgain, press facilitator to Prime Minister Balen Shah, confirmed Minister Yadav’s resignation. “The industry minister has resigned,” he said.
At Wednesday’s meeting of the Industry Committee, Minister Yadav had said that cooking gas would not be easily available until industrialists are severely punished.
She had faced criticism following the remark.
