The proposals presented during the closed session of the national conference organized in Kathmandu by the Nepali Congress’ non-establishment faction have been passed.
Five reports were presented for discussion on Saturday. Party leaders said that the reports were discussed in groups and subsequently passed along with suggestions.
During the closed session, leader Bimalendra Nidhi presented a political report, Prakash Sharan Mahat presented an economic report, Umakant Chaudhary presented an organizational report, Ramesh Lekhak presented a legal report, and NP Saud presented a report on contemporary developments. The leaders also responded to questions raised about the proposals they had presented.
The event, inaugurated on August 14, was transformed from a national gathering into a conference. Preparations are underway to conclude the event on Sunday. Former party president Sher Bahadur Deuba is also attending Sunday’s closed session.
All five reports presented during the closed session were passed along with suggestions.
The event was organized by leaders who did not participate in the special general convention held in January.
