National gathering will be held from August 14 to 16: Min Bahadur Bishwakarma

Nepali Congress leader Min Bahadur Bishwakarma has said that their national gathering will be held in Kathmandu from August 14 to 16.

Referring to fake letters being posted on social media claiming that the gathering has been postponed, Bishwakarma urged party members not to be misled by such rumors.

“The national gathering is confirmed to take place in Kathmandu from August 14 to 16. We request everyone not to be confused,” he said.

According to Bishwakarma, the gathering will be held under the leadership of former general sdecretary Shashank Koirala and with the support of top leaders.

He said that former party president and former prime minister Sher Bahadur Deuba will also attend the gathering. Deuba is scheduled to return to Nepal on August 13.

Party leaders are preparing to travel to Tribhuvan International Airport to welcome Deuba, with Koirala expected to lead the delegation.

The Nepali Congress faction that did not participate in the special general convention held in January is organizing the national gathering after holding provincial gatherings.
