Talks have begun between Home Minister Sudan Gurung and the family of Rabindra Mehta, who died during treatment on Tuesday.
According to the home minister's secretariat, the talks started a short while ago at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj, Kathmandu.
Mehta, 22, had been undergoing treatment at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital after he was injured during a clash between two groups on July 26 in Kaptangunj, Dewangunj Rural Municipality-3, Sunsari. He died during treatment on Tuesday morning.
Earlier on Tuesday, Home Minister Gurung held separate meetings with leaders from both sides. Various leaders from both communities participated in the meetings held at the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The discussions focused on the recent situation and disputes in various parts of the country, peace, security, and mutual harmony.
