Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa has held discussions with provincial and local governments.
Thapa held a virtual meeting with the governments of Koshi province and Madhesh province, as well as local representatives from those provinces, at the party's central office in Sanepa on Friday afternoon.
Party office-bearers and central members present in Kathmandu also participated in the discussion. Parliamentary party leader Bhishma Raj Angdembe was also in attendance.
In the wake of the recent incidents in Sunsari and other districts, the Nepali Congress has repeatedly appealed for the maintenance of social harmony.
Thapa has also warned that if anyone is found engaging in acts that disrupt social harmony, they will be expelled from party membership.
