The government has extended the tenure of the task force led by Asim Shah, political advisor to Prime Minister Balen Shah, which is preparing a discussion paper on constitutional amendments.
According to government spokesperson Sasmit Pokharel, a Cabinet meeting held on Friday decided to extend the tenure of the task force until July 16.
The government has also decided to instruct the Ministry of Land Management to implement the report of the high-level commission on the investigation and protection of government and public land (Rawal Commission).
Furthermore, the Cabinet has decided to appoint Ramesh Kumar Dhital of Sindhupalchok as the chairman of the Accounting Standards Board.
