The Ujyalo Nepal Party and the Hamro Party Nepal have formally merged.
Ujyalo Nepal Party Chairman Kulman Ghising announced the merger agreement between the two parties at an event on Friday.
Addressing the event organized at the party’s central office in Tripureshwar to announce the merger, Ghising welcomed leaders and cadres from the Hamro Party Nepal into his party.
“The Ujyalo Nepal Party will now truly establish itself as an alternative force. The party will have a strong representation in the upcoming local and provincial elections, and we are moving forward with the goal of leading the country in the following elections,” he said.
Congratulating everyone involved in the merger process, Ghising said that the general secretaries of both parties would further clarify the detailed agreements and future plans of the unified party.
