The government has decided to promote Narayan Dutta Paudel to the position of inspector general of the Armed Police Force (APF).
Government spokesperson Sasmita Pokharel said that Monday’s Cabinet meeting approved the decision to promote and appoint Paudel to the post.
“Additional Inspector General Narayan Dutta Paudel has been promoted and appointed to the post of inspector general of the Armed Police Force Nepal,” he said.
Paudel becomes the 13th IGP of the Armed Police Force. The appointment comes as the current IGP Raju Aryal is set to retire on May 1.
Additionally, the Cabinet meeting decided to include the Security Printing Center in the list of public entities allowed to engage in commercial activities by competing with the private sector, and to publish a notice in the Nepal Gazette.
The Cabinet also approved the Customs Regulation, Pokharel added.
