The Nepali Congress has not yet selected its parliamentary party leader.
Previously, during Friday's central committee meeting, a task force was formed to facilitate the selection of the parliamentary party leader through consensus.
According to party leaders, based on the recommendations of that task force, President Gagan Thapa is scheduled to propose a name for the parliamentary party leader during Monday's central committee meeting. The election committee is then expected to officially announce the appointment at 1 p.m.
