Sudan Kirati, a member of the chairpersons’ council of the Pragatisheel Loktantrik Party, has announced that he has left the party.
Although it was previously reported that he had resigned, he confirmed on Wednesday that he has now formally quit the party.
“I would like to inform that I have decided not to remain even an ordinary member of the Pragatisheel Loktantrik Party. I sincerely thank the respected leaders who guided me during this nearly five-month journey, all colleagues who worked alongside me, and the staff. I have embraced the experiences gained during this period as an invaluable asset. Even though my formal association with the organization has ended, I believe mutual respect, goodwill, and friendly relations will continue in the days to come,” he wrote on social media.
Kirati further said that because he carries the trust of the public and the unfulfilled dreams of martyrs in his heart, he will not step back from serving and dedicating himself to the country and the people, and working for social transformation.
“The road ahead may not be easy for me, but I will continue moving forward on the path shown by the trust of the people and the sacrifices of martyrs,” he added.
Following the Gen Z movement, Kirati had left the then-CPN (Maoist Center) and joined the Pragatisheel Loktantrik Party.
