Ganesh Parajuli has been named the deputy leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) parliamentary party.
RSP General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti said that a parliamentary party meeting held on Thursday chose Parajuli, who was elected from Kathmandu-7, for the role.
According to Burlakoti, the same meeting also appointed him as the chief whip, while lawmakers Prakash Chandra Pariyar and Krantishikha Dhital were appointed as whips.
Pariyar, a proportional representation (PR) lawmaker, joined the RSP after a merger with the Bibeksheel Sajha Party. Dhital, an RSP central committee member, is also a PR lawmaker.
