Newly appointed ministers of Gandaki province have taken the oath of office and secrecy.
Province Chief Dilli Raj Bhatta administered the oath to the new ministers during a ceremony held at noon on Wednesday.
Gandaki province is currently governed by a coalition consisting of the Nepali Congress (NC) and the CPN-UML.
The new appointments follow an agreement reached between Chief Minister and NC parliamentary party leader Surendra Raj Pandey and UML parliamentary party leader Khagaraj Adhikari to reshuffle the Cabinet.
According to the Chief Minister's Office, the newly appointed ministers include Minister for Economic Affairs Jeet Sherchan, Minister for Energy, Water Resources, and Drinking Water Nanda Prasad Neupane, Minister for Social Development Rekha Gurung, and Minister for Forests and Environment Namdu Gurung from the NC.
Similarly, new appointees from the UML include Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development Govinda Bahadur Nepali, Minister for Industry and Tourism Yashoda Rimal, Minister for Agriculture, Land Management, and Cooperatives Laxman Pandey, and Minister for Health Bhim Karki.
The swearing-in ceremony was held at the office of the Nepal Tourism Board.
