Former PM Oli undergoes gallbladder surgery

Former prime minister and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has undergone surgery.

According to his secretariat, Oli underwent gallbladder surgery at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj, on Monday morning.

Oli was arrested by the police on the morning of March 28. Since then, he has been in the hospital.

The Supreme Court had issued a writ of mandamus to release Oli. He was released on personal recognizance following the order. However, he remains in the hospital for medical treatment.
