Prime Minister Balendra (Balen) Shah has expanded the Cabinet.
On the recommendation of PM Shah, President Ram Chandra Paudel appointed new ministers for industry and labor on Friday.
According to the prime minister’s secretariat, Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lawmaker Gauri Kumari Yadav has been appointed minister for industry, and Ramji Yadav has been appointed minister for labor.
The newly appointed ministers are scheduled to take the oath of office later on Friday at the President’s Office, Sheetal Niwas.
Gauri Kumari Yadav was elected from Mahottari-4, and Ramji Yadav from Saptari-2 in the House of Representatives election held on March 5.
PM Shah had been keeping the Industry Ministry portfolio with himself since the beginning.
On Thursday, PM Shah dismissed Labor Minister Deepak Kumar Sah, also an RSP lawmaker, on the recommendation of RSP President Rabi Lamichhane.
