Prime Minister Balen Shah is reportedly preparing to remove Minister for Labor, Employment, and Social Security Deepak Kumar Sah from his post.
According to sources close to PM Shah, the prime minister is not satisfied with the labor minister’s performance.
"The prime minister is preparing to remove the labor minister and appoint a new one," a source close to the PM told Setopati.
Sah, a candidate for the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) in the House of Representatives election held on March 5, was elected from Mahottari-2.
He is a PhD scholar at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and holds a master’s degree in health policy, planning, and financing from the London School of Economics.
Additionally, Minister Sah earned a master’s in public health and a master’s in optometry from the Institute of Medicine (IOM), as well as an LLB from Nepal Law Campus. He also serves as the president of the Nepal Association of Optometrists.
As of Thursday, Minister Sah has been in office for 14 days.
