Kiran Pandit has been appointed as the deputy governor of Nepal Rastra Bank.
Minister for General Administration Pratibha Rawal said that a Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday decided to appoint Pandit to the position.
The tenure of the deputy governor will be five years.
Pandit joined the banking service in 2005.
He has previously worked in several departments within Nepal Rastra Bank, including the bank supervision department, banks and financial institutions regulation department, financial inclusion and consumer protection division, and the payment systems department.
