Nepali Communist Party (NCP) has appointed Jhakku Subedi as the parliamentary party leader in the National Assembly.
Parliamentary party leader of NCP Pushpa Kamal Dahal appointed Subedi to the position.
Previously, Narayan Kaji Shrestha held the post. Before his six-year term ended, he resigned from the position to contest the House of Representatives election from Sarlahi.
Jhakku Subedi was first elected in the First Constituent Assembly election in 2008 defeating the then CPN-UML general secretary Madhav Kumar Nepal.
He had not been in the parliament since then. However, he recently was elected to the National Assembly.
