The government has officially handed over the report of the Inquiry Commission led by former judge Gauri Bahadur Karki to the Kathmandu District Police Range for implementation.
The commission was established to investigate the incidents that occurred during the Gen-Z Movement on September 8 and 9 last year. The commission had previously submitted its final report to the government led by Sushila Karki.
Kathmandu District Police Chief SSP Ramesh Thapa confirmed that the report has now been transferred from the Ministry of Home Affairs to the Kathmandu District Police for follow-up and implementation.
"We have received the Inquiry Commission's report from the Ministry of Home Affairs. We have initiated legal action and proceedings in accordance with its findings," SSP Thapa told Setopati.
