CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli, who was arrested on Saturday morning, has been admitted to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj, Kathmandu.
According to hospital sources, he has been placed in bed number 501 of the hospital’s VIP cabin.
Oli is a kidney transplant patient, having undergone the procedure twice. The hospital stated that he has been placed in a bed specifically designated for kidney transplant patients.
Before being admitted there, Oli was kept in bed number 27 of the emergency ward. He was shifted to the VIP cabin after medical examinations.
He was arrested in Gundu, Bhaktapur, and brought to the District Police Range in Bhadrakali by the police. After being held there briefly, he was taken to TU Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj for a health check-up.
