Balen Shah, senior leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), is set to take the oath of office and secrecy as prime minister on March 27.
The auspicious time for the swearing-in ceremony has been fixed for Friday at 12:34 p.m. The ceremony will feature the sounding of seven conch shells (shankhanad).
According to RSP General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti, the event will include swasti vachan by 108 young priests and the recitation of the Ashtamangal by 16 Buddhist monks.
After taking the oath, Shah is scheduled to assume office at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar at 2:15 p.m.
Having won nearly a two-thirds majority in the House of Representatives election held on March 5, the RSP is set to form a majority government on its own.
