Lieutenant General Joel B Vowell of the United States Army has arrived in Nepal.
Lieutenant General Vowell, who is the deputy commanding general of the US Army Pacific (USARPAC) Command, arrived in Kathmandu on Sunday as part of a pre-scheduled program,.
The Nepal Army stated that he will remain in Nepal until March 17 (Tuesday).
During his visit, Lieutenant General Vowell will hold formal meetings and also tour the Birendra Peace Operations Training Center in Panchkhal.
The Nepal Army expressed confidence that such visits will further strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and contribute to humanitarian assistance, disaster management, and international peacekeeping efforts.
