Nepali Congress candidate Nishkal Rai has been elected to the House of Representatives from Ilam Constituency No. 1.
The 35-year-old Rai won the election securing 14,543 votes.
Shram Sanskriti Party candidate Binod Nemwang Limbu received 13,632 votes, while Kajiman Kagate of the CPN-UML received 11,966 votes.
Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Bimal Gadal received 9,160 votes.
