Former president of the Nepali Congress, Sher Bahadur Deuba, has left for Singapore for medical treatment.
According to Deuba’s secretariat, he departed on Wednesday night via Singapore Airlines.
“He had to travel suddenly for medical treatment. He left last night,” a source at the secretariat said.
Deuba is accompanied by only his personal secretary, Bhanu Deuba.
His wife and former foreign minister, Arzu Rana Deuba, remains in Nepal.
Deuba is scheduled to return on Tuesday (March 3).
According to the secretariat source, Deuba may travel to Dadeldhura after returning to Kathmandu.
