The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has postponed its planned public assemblies in Bhairahawa and Pokhara.
The party had scheduled a mass gathering in Bhairahawa for Saturday and another in Pokhara for Sunday.
Party President Rabi Lamichhane and senior leader Balen Shah have been addressing such assemblies, titled “Pariwartan Udghosh Sabha” (Assembly for Declaration of Change).
RSP co-spokesperson Pratibha Rawal said that the assemblies were postponed for two reasons.
According to her, the scheduled events have been postponed for the time being since the leaders’ schedules could not be managed and secretariat-level leaders needed to meet to carry out internal planning, groundwork, and formulate the party’s strategy.
Rawal said that a revised schedule for the assemblies will be made public on Saturday.
