The closed session of the Nepali Congress special general convention began on Monday morning.
The party’s second special general convention has passed its procedure. The Nepali Congress Special Central General Convention Procedure, 2026 has been enforced, exercising the authority vested in the party’s supreme body under Article 15 of the party statute. The closed session hall approved the procedure by voice vote. All closed-session proceedings and other related programs will move forward in accordance with this procedure.
The closed session is being chaired by general convention representative Shyam Bahadur Khadka from Kathmandu-5.
General Secretary Bishwa Prakash Sharma has presented his report at the closed session.
General Secretary Gagan Thapa will present a political and policy-related report.
