Sunita Dangol, the deputy mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, has been elected as a central member at the 11th general convention of the CPN-UML.
According to the election results announced on Thursday, Dangol was elected as a central member.
Dangol secured 1,668 votes in the election for central members under 40 years of age from the geographical capital special category.
Her competitors, Rajan Thapa and Santosh Khadka, received 229 and 330 votes respectively.
