The Nepali Congress (NC) has decided to hold its 15th general convention in Kathmandu from January 10 to 12.
Acting President Purna Bahadur Khadka presented the schedule for the general convention at the central committee meeting held on Monday in Sanepa.
The ward-level conventions will begin on December 30.
Also, the party has decided to extend the term of the working committee led by Sher Bahadur Deuba until February 12, 2026.
The central committee meeting held on Monday decided to extend the committee’s term by two months.
The party’s 14th general convention was held in 2021 from December 10 to 14. Since the current committee’s term was set to expire on December 9 and the next general convention is scheduled for January, the committee’s term has been extended until February 12, NC spokesperson Prakash Sharan Mahat said.
