The Janata Samajwadi Party, Nagarik Unmukti Party Nepal, and Rastriya Mukti Party Nepal have reached an agreement to contest the upcoming elections under a single election symbol.
On Sunday, the three parties agreed to take part in the elections using the hand mill, which is the election symbol of the Nagarik Unmukti Party Nepal led by Resham Chaudhary.
“We, the three parties - Janata Samajwadi Party, Nagarik Unmukti Party Nepal, and Rastriya Mukti Party Nepal - have agreed to participate in the House of Representatives elections scheduled for March 5, 2026, under a single election symbol. We have agreed to use the hand mill, the current election symbol of Nagarik Unmukti Party Nepal, as the election symbol,” a joint statement signed by the chairpersons of the three parties reads.
They said that they have also urged other parties with similar ideologies to join them and contest the election under the same single symbol.
