Outgoing Inspector General of Nepal Police (IGP) Chandra Kuber Khapung, who retired from service on Thursday, has been barred from traveling abroad.
The inquiry commission formed to investigate the incidents of September 8 and 9 made the decision at its meeting held on Thursday.
Also, Khapung will not be allowed to leave the Kathmandu Valley without the commission’s permission.
The government formed the inquiry commission under the leadership of former justice Gauri Bahadur Karki to investigate the incidents related to the Gen Z movement.
The commission has also said that former prime minister and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli cannot leave Kathmandu without its approval.
