CPN (Unified Socialist) leaders including standing committee member Ram Kumari Jhakri and central member Krishna Kumar Shrestha “Kisan” are seeking to return to the CPN-UML.
A meeting was held on Thursday between UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli and leaders including Jhakri. Following the meeting, Jhakri and other leaders are ready to return to the UML on November 10, said UML politburo member Mahesh Basnet .
On Wednesday, 10 parties including the CPN (Unified Socialist) under Madhav Kumar Nepal's leadership and the CPN (Maoist Center) unified to form the Nepali Communist Party.
However, Unified Socialist leaders including Jhakri did not join the unified party. They held a press conference on Wednesday hinting at the possibility of returning to the UML.
