Harka Sampang files for party registration

Kathmandu, Sept 28

Harka Sampang, the Mayor of Dharan Sub-metropolitan City, has filed an application with the Election Commission to register a new party.

Election Commission spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai said that Mayor Sampang submitted the application for party registration on Sunday.

"He has submitted an application for party registration with Harka Bahadur Rai as the coordinator. The proposed name of the party is Shram Sanskriti Party, and the election symbol is a mud mound," he said.

Mayor Sampang had been preparing for party registration for some time.
