Former deputy prime minister and energy minister Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, who had escaped from prison during the Gen Z movement on September 9, has returned to prison.
He returned to Sundhara Prison on Monday evening.
Sundhara Prison Chief Krishna Prasad Chapagain said that Rayamajhi, who was in custody in the fake Bhutanese refugees case, returned to prison on his own.
According to Chapagain, former home secretary Tek Narayan Pandey, who was also in prison in the same Bhutanese refugees case, has not returned.
He said that the search for some escaped inmates is ongoing. Some have informed the prison authorities that they will come on their own.
Chapagain said that Chudamani Upreti (Gore), the main accused in the gold scam and Sanam murder case, also returned on the same day.
