Five more ministers finalized, oath on Monday

Prime Minister Sushila Karki

Prime Minister Sushila Karki has finalized the names of five additional ministers for her Cabinet.

A source at Baluwatar said that PM Karki recommended the names of five individuals on Sunday for Cabinet expansion. The new ministers will be sworn in on Monday.

Dr Sangita Kaushal Mishra has been recommended to head the Ministry of Health and Population. She is an additional secretary at the ministry and has also resigned from that position.

Mahabir Pun has been recommended for appointment as minister for education, science, and technology. Pun is the chairperson of the National Innovation Center.

Jagdish Kharel has been recommended for appointment as minister for communications, information, and technology. He is the news chief of Image Media Group.

Similarly, Madan Pariyar has been recommended as agriculture minister, and Anil Kumar Sinha as minister for industry and land reform.
