A judicial inquiry commission has been formed under the leadership of former judge Gauri Bahadur Karki to investigate the incidents that occurred during the Gen Z movement.
Finance Minister Rameshore Khanal said that a Cabinet meeting held on Sunday decided to form the inquiry commission with Karki as its coordinator.
Karki is a former chairperson of the Special Court.
The commission will have two members: former additional inspector general of police Bigyan Raj Sharma and legal expert Bishweshwar Prasad Bhandari.
The commission has been given three months to complete its work.
The Cabinet’s previous meeting had only agreed in principle to form an inquiry commission.
