Six leaders of the Janamat Party, including Senior Vice-chairman Abdul Khan, have announced that they have left the party.
Along with Senior Vice President Khan, central spokesperson Sharad Singh Yadav, coordinator of Janamat Youth Association Sanjay Kumar Yadav, coordinator of Janamat Health Workers' Association CK Singh, Sudur Paschim in-charge Rajaram Chaudhary, and national council member Bikram Bahadur Bam have left the party.
Spokesperson Yadav confirmed to Setopati that they have quit the party.
"We saw the dual role of the chairman—going to China during the Gen-Z movement, yet staying in the Madhesh government, continuing support to the KP Oli government, and after the Gen-Z movement, claiming that we support the movement. When we raised such issues within the party, we were told that this was the time for purification and that we could leave. That’s why we left today," he said.
