Leaders of the Janamat Party have demanded the resignation of Chairman CK Raut.
Six leaders, including Senior Vice-chairman Abdul Khan, have called for Raut's resignation, citing the need for leadership change to restore the party's credibility and public trust.
The leaders include Janamat Party spokesperson Sharad Singh Yadav, coordinator Sanjay Kumar Yadav, CK Singh, Rajaram Chaudhary, and Bikram Bahadur Bam.
They have also demanded the resignation of Jayakant Raut, the organization department chief.
"We have reached the conclusion that a change in leadership has become inevitable for the party's interest, political credibility, and restoration of public trust. Therefore, we, the undersigned, in our capacity as responsible office-bearers of the party, sincerely request Janamat Party Chairman Dr Chandrakant Raut (CK Raut) and organization department chief Dr Jayakant Raut to voluntarily resign from their positions within 24 hours," the leaders said in a letter.
They said that the two leaders should pave the way for the transformation of the party into a stronger, democratic, responsible institution accountable to the people.
