Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) leader Sumana Shrestha has left the party.
She informed the RSP about her decision on Sunday.
"Never admitting mistakes! Continuously repeating mistakes and expecting the entire party to bear the burden! Conducting media trials against those who criticize within the party. I have been criticizing ever since the time the RSP began placing the party above the country and the leader above the party. But it made no difference at all. Instead, media trials began. This is unacceptable. Now, if they want to attack openly, I have made it easier for them. Do as you please while you can. I quit, I have left the party," she stated.
She also urged third-generation leaders of parties like the Nepali Congress and the CPN-UML to reflect.
"The situation that has arisen today is more due to the behavior of your leadership than you. Why do you continue to bear that burden? The right time has come now. Stop worshiping your leaders. Either remove them or step aside," she urged.
